About Gilmore Girls
Gilmore Girls follows Lorelai and Rory Gilmore with Emily, Luke and Stars Hollow around them. The original ran seven seasons from 2000 to 2007 with 153 episodes, tracking Chilton, Yale and inn dreams in order. Friday dinners anchor each year.
A Year in the Life arrived in 2016 on Netflix with four long episodes covering winter to fall. It acts as an epilogue with the same cast grown. Watch the original straight through, then the revival, since jobs and babies only land with the full run behind them.
Good to know
Broadcast order matches story order, with school, jobs and weddings building year by year. Do not skip ahead, because Rory Yale years and Lorelai inn beats stack. The revival works best after season seven, though its plot recaps enough for returning viewers. Start at season one for the full Hollow rules.
