About High Maintenance
High Maintenance follows weed dealer Guy biking to odd clients as anthology glue. Web run (2012) packs 19 shorts from November 9, 2012 to February 5, 2015 on Vimeo. Season 1 (2016) runs 6 episodes from September 16, 2016 on HBO. Season 2 (2018) runs 10 from January 19, 2018. Season 3 (2019) runs 9 from January 20, 2019. Season 4 (2020) runs 9 from February 7 to April 3, 2020.
Katja Blichfeld and Ben Sinclair created the show moving from Vimeo to HBO. HBO confirmed January 14, 2021 no fifth season. Watch web shorts first if you want origin, then TV S1 to S4 in order, since Guy's face and bike setup pay off in HBO premiere.
Good to know
Broadcast order is the intended order, even though most TV episodes stand alone as client tales. Season 1 sets the Guy handoff and the Brooklyn map that later seasons reuse. Season 4 plays as ending with pandemic nods. Treat the 34 TV episodes plus 19 web shorts as complete, with no revival dated. Guy's bike stays the link.
