About House of David
House of David dramatizes the rise of David from shepherd to king, with Samuel anointing him while Saul still holds the throne. Season 1 covers eight episodes from February 27 to April 3, 2025, ending with the two-part David and Goliath clash. Season 2 picks up the political fallout across eight episodes from October 5 to November 16, 2025.
Amazon renewed the show for a third and final season in July 2026, with filming in Greece that September. No premiere date has been set. The creators planned a three-season arc, so expect season 3 to close the story rather than extend it.
Good to know
Release order equals story order, so watch season 1 then season 2. The show compresses years of biblical history but presents it in sequence. Season 2 had an early Wonder Project window before its March 2026 Prime binge date, which confuses some listings. Use the story order here. Season 3 is confirmed as the final season with no date, so it sits last with a null year until Amazon dates it.
