About Into the Badlands
Into the Badlands follows Sunny and Bajie across a feudal America ruled by barons. Season 1 ran 6 episodes from November to December 2015 as a short opener. Season 2 ran 10 episodes from March to May 2017 and expands the territories.
Season 3 ran 16 episodes split into two eights, April to June 2018 then March to May 2019, ending with Seven Strike as One. AMC announced in February 2019 that season 3 would be the last. Watch 1 through 3 in order. The Widow and Pilgrim arcs need the early setup from season 1.
Good to know
There is no separate chronological order. Every season follows the last with no prequel to move, so release order is story order. Season 1 is short on purpose, so do not skip it as filler. Cast talk about season 4 lore never became an order, and the show ended May 2019 with no revival announced as of September 2026.
