About Johan Falk
Johan Falk is a Swedish crime film series about a Gothenburg police officer played by Jakob Eklund. It opens with three standalone cinema films: Noll tolerans (1999), Livvakterna (2001) and Den tredje vågen (2003). From 2009 the focus shifts to the GSI special operations unit and infiltrator Frank Wagner, played by Joel Kinnaman, a thread drawn from the life of real infiltrator Peter Rätz.
The GSI films came in three batches: six in 2009, six across 2012 and early 2013, and five in summer 2015 ending with Slutet. Watch everything in release order. In May 2026 TV4 announced three new films with Eklund returning, filming since late summer 2026 for a planned autumn 2027 premiere.
Good to know
Release order matches story order across all 20 films, so no alternate list is needed here. A few entries premiered in cinemas first, including the 2009 opener and Kodnamn Lisa in March 2013, but that changes nothing about viewing order. The three new TV4 films have no titles yet, so they sit in the site's upcoming list until they get names and dates.
