About Laverne and Shirley

Laverne and Shirley spun out of Happy Days and opened January 27, 1976 on ABC with 15 episodes. Seasons 2 through 5 kept the Milwaukee brewery setting, with season 3 and 4 both ranking number one in the ratings. The show follows roommates Laverne DeFazio and Shirley Feeney.

Season 6 moved production to Burbank in late 1980 while keeping Milwaukee as home, then seasons 7 and 8 shifted the story to California. Cindy Williams left during season 8, so the last run centers Laverne. The finale aired May 10, 1983 with 22 episodes that season.

Watch seasons 1 through 8 in air order. The Milwaukee to California move in the later seasons plays best with the brewery years behind it.
