About Love & Death
Love and Death adapts Evidence of Love about church couples Candy and Pat Montgomery with Betty and Allan Gore in Wylie Texas. Created by David E Kelley with Lesli Linka Glatter directing, the seven episodes move from Huntress affair start through Encounters and Stepping Stone to Arrest and trial.
All episodes aired April 27 to May 25, 2023 on Max with Lily Rabe as Betty and Patrick Fugit as Pat. The story tracks volleyball spark to axe struggle to self defense acquittal. Watch in release order since each affair step and Crowder lawyering stacks toward the verdict. The finale needs full marriage context to land.
Good to know
Release order is story order across seven hours with no spinoffs. Start at Huntress for church match setup that triggers affair rules. The finale trial lands only after full affair and arrest build, so sequential viewing matters. As a completed limited series, these seven form the entire guide with Candy Hulu version kept separate.
