About The Munsters

The Munsters ran 70 episodes over two CBS seasons from September 1964 to May 1966 about Herman, Lily and Grandpa at Mockingbird Lane. Munster, Go Home followed in 1966 as a theatrical outing with the TV cast aboard.

The Munsters Revenge aired in 1981, Munsters Today ran 72 episodes from 1988 to 1991 as a revival with a new cast in new stories, and Fox films arrived in 1995 and 1996. Mockingbird Lane failed as a 2012 pilot with no pickup. The Rob Zombie Munsters from 2022 works as an origin prequel with a new cast.

Good to know

Watch original seasons 1 and 2, then Go Home, Revenge, Today, the Fox films and the 2022 prequel. The revivals recast rather than continue tightly, so they work as extras after. The Zombie film can open a rewatch as a prequel but not a first viewing. Today holds the longest return run at 72 episodes.
