About Perpetual Grace
Perpetual Grace follows James, a young man seeking penance who falls in with Pastor Byron Brown and his wife Lillian, con artists running a small church. Early episodes follow scams on widows, a crooked sheriff, fire rescues and James plotting to take their cash. The desert town fills with strange deputies, grieving parents and killers chasing old debts.
The final stretch follows the money chase, confessions and a violent reckoning that tests who can change. Epix aired 10 episodes in 2019 created by Steven Conrad with Ben Kingsley and Jimmi Simpson leading. Watch episodes 1 through 10 in order since every con, rescue and debt links into the closing trap.
Good to know
Watch episodes 1 through 10 in story order because the pastor scams, sheriff threats and James backstory stack toward the finale. The season was built closed and no second season was ordered, so the ten form the full tale. Expect dry humor, desert noir mood and patient reveals. The church cons make sense only when seen from the first mark to the last payout.
