About Scandal
Scandal aired on ABC from April 2012 to April 2018 from creator Shonda Rhimes. It follows fixer Olivia Pope, played by Kerry Washington, between the White House and her gladiator firm. Early seasons run case of the week around the Defiance conspiracy, then the show turns serial with the B613 shadow agency, the Mellie-Fitz primary and the Vargas assassination.
The show ran 124 episodes through seven seasons and ended by plan with Olivia running B613 herself. Rhimes closed the story in 2018 rather than extending past the White House handoff, and no revival has been ordered.
Good to know
Watch one through seven in order, since the rigged election and the B613 parentage reveals assume full history. Season one is only seven episodes and plays faster than the later arcs, so push through to season two where the conspiracy engine starts. The crossover episode with How to Get Away With Murder fits inside season seven but works as a bonus rather than required viewing.
