About Shadow and Bone
Shadow and Bone follows Alina Starkov as a Sun Summoner in Ravka while Kaz and the Crows run heists around her war. Season 1 from 2021 runs 8 episodes on the Fold and the Darkling reveal. Season 2 from 2023 runs 8 more pulling in Siege and Storm plot with Crows backstory.
Watch season 1 then season 2. The Crows crew assumes you know the Fold rules, and book order was merged for TV. Netflix cancelled the show in late 2023 with no Six of Crows spinoff, so the two seasons play as the complete screen run.
Good to know
The show blends the Shadow and Bone trilogy with Crows books, which means book readers meet Kaz earlier than in print. That merge only works in release order. With 16 episodes total, the run ends on setup for books it will not reach, so expect an open close rather than a planned finale. Jessie Mei Li stars as Alina with Archie Renaux as Mal.
