About The Witcher
The Witcher adapts Andrzej Sapkowski's books across four released seasons, with Henry Cavill as Geralt for the first three and Liam Hemsworth taking over in season 4. The fourth season premiered Oct 30 2025, adapting Baptism of Fire and adding Laurence Fishburne as the vampire barber-surgeon Regis.
Netflix added four side entries around the main show: a prequel miniseries, two animated films and a Rats special released with season 4. A fifth and final season was filmed back to back with season 4 and will close the story.
Good to know
Season 5 wrapped filming in Sept 2025. Netflix has not set a release date: early reports pointed to 2026 while later press suggests 2027, so the year below is left blank until Netflix locks it. Blood Origin drew poor reviews and is safe to skip. Per Netflix's own notice, watch The Rats after season 4 even though its story comes first.
