About Shrinking
Shrinking follows therapist Jimmy Laird after his wife dies as he starts breaking rules with patients while leaning on Paul, Gaby, Alice and his neighbor circle. Season 1 from 2023 runs 10 episodes on grief and fallout. Season 2 from 2024 runs 12 episodes on repair and boundaries, and season 3 from early 2026 runs 11 episodes on longer consequences.
Watch in release order. Patient stories reset week to week, but Jimmy, Alice and Paul arcs stack directly. Apple renewed season 4 in January 2026 with no premiere date yet, so the current three form the complete released run.
Good to know
The show mixes comedy with heavy grief plots, and later seasons lean harder into that balance across the ensemble. Season 2 is the longest at 12 episodes, season 3 the most serialized of the run. With season 4 confirmed but undated, there is no finale to place yet, so treat season 3 as the latest chapter.
