About Smallville
Smallville follows Clark Kent from a Kansas teen hiding powers to a Metropolis reporter ready for the cape. It ran five seasons on The WB from 2001 to 2006, then five more on The CW to May 2011, for ten seasons and 217 episodes. Early years are freak of the week, later years bring Lois, Oliver and the Justice League.
The two hour finale ends with Clark flying in the suit for the first time. An animated sequel with the original cast voicing has been pitched since 2021 but Warner Bros has not ordered it as of September 2026. Watch seasons 1 through 10 in order. The origin only pays off if you see the whole run.
Good to know
There is no separate chronological order. Every season follows the last from school to farm to city, so release order is story order. Season 7 was cut by the writers strike to 20 episodes, and season 10 finale counts as two episodes in one night. The show sits outside the Arrowverse, so no crossover watch is needed.
