About Star Wars

Lucasfilm built seven live-action series on Disney Plus between 2019 and 2025, all streaming in one place. The Mandalorian launched with the platform in November 2019 and follows Din Djarin and Grogu in the New Republic era. The Book of Boba Fett, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Andor followed, with Andor running two twelve episode seasons that end right where Rogue One begins.

Ahsoka continues the Rebels story with Rosario Dawson, The Acolyte jumps back to the High Republic, and Skeleton Crew tells a standalone Amblin style adventure with four kids. Ahsoka season 2 is dated January 20, 2027, and The Mandalorian and Grogu film arrived in theaters May 22, 2026, so the era keeps growing.

Good to know

Release order is the recommended path because the New Republic shows were written to pay off in the order they aired, especially Boba Fett feeding out of Mando season 2 and Ahsoka assuming you know Rebels and Mando season 3. Chronological order puts The Acolyte first and the Mando era last, which spoils the High Republic mystery by answering it before the question is asked. The animated shows are covered in a separate guide.
