About The Strain
The Strain adapts del Toro and Hogan with a viral Strigoi outbreak from a Berlin plane. Season 1 ran 13 episodes from July 13, 2014 on FX covering the Canary Project. Season 2 ran 13 in 2015 with the Occido Lumen hunt. Season 3 ran 10 in 2016 as the city falls. Season 4 ran 10 in 2017 jumping nine months into nuclear winter.
Corey Stoll leads early with Quinlan rising late as the born hybrid. FX closed it at four by design. No revival has been ordered. The 46 episodes form one outbreak to bomb run with no spinoffs in the list.
Good to know
Broadcast order matches the infection spread from plane to city to winter. Season 4's time jump only works after the Season 3 nuke setup. The comics expand side hunts but stay outside this TV list. Expect a full origin to kill chain for the Master across all four. With the 2017 finale closing the Lumen, this is finished.
