About The Boys
The Boys follows a black-ops team trying to expose Vought, a corporation that markets corrupt superheroes to the public. Gen V runs alongside it at Godolkin University, a Vought-run school for young supes, and its second season leads directly into the final season of the main show.
Diabolical is an animated anthology of standalone shorts in the same world. Most of its episodes are non-canon one-offs, so it is the only skippable entry here.
Good to know
There is no separate chronological order for The Boys worth listing: every season follows the last, and Gen V slots between fixed points, so release order and story order are the same list.
The main show completed with its fifth season in May 2026. The universe continues with Vought Rising, a 1950s prequel about Soldier Boy and the origins of Vought, expected in 2027.
