About The Rookie
The Rookie follows John Nolan, the LAPD's oldest rookie, through training officers, new partnerships and the Chenford romance with Lucy Chen. Seasons 1 through 4 build his path from rookie to training officer across eighty-four episodes.
The Rookie Feds spins off Simone Clark's FBI unit for one twenty-two-episode season overlapping season 5, with a crossover tying them together. Seasons 6 through 8 continue Nolan's squad past the strike-shortened year. Season 9 is renewed for 2027, with the North spinoff ordered alongside it.
Good to know
Release order is story order, with one placement rule: watch Feds during season 5, since episode 17 of season 5 crosses into the spinoff. Feds was cancelled after one season, so it ends cleanly.
