About The Voice
The Voice premiered April 2011 on NBC about blind auditions with spinning chairs, battles and knockouts to live shows. Early years set the Shelton, Levine, Aguilera and Green chair mix with Carson Daly hosting and winners like Javier Colon.
Later runs rotate coaches with Clarkson, Legend, Chance, Niall Horan, Reba McEntire, Snoop Dogg and Michael Buble across 27 seasons by spring 2025. Each season resets singers and teams, so newcomers start with a recent year to learn rules before trying classic runs.
Good to know
There is no story order to follow since seasons reset with new singers and coaches each time. Watch any recent season from blinds to finale before older ones, since format tweaks stay small. Treat the show as ongoing with two seasons most years, and check coach lineups since chairs change each cycle.
