About Three's Company
Three's Company aired on ABC from March 1977 to September 1984 for eight seasons and 172 episodes. It follows Jack Tripper pretending to be gay to share the Santa Monica apartment with Chrissy and Janet under the Ropers, then Mr. Furley. Suzanne Somers left after season five with Jenilee Harrison and Priscilla Barnes rotating in as Cindy and Terri.
The Ropers spun off in 1979 for two seasons and Three's a Crowd followed Jack in 1984 for one. No revival has been ordered, leaving the finale's bistro job as the close with the misunderstandings intact to the end.
Good to know
Watch one through eight in broadcast order, since the roommate changes and the Furley feuds assume sequence. The misunderstanding formula never changes by design, so expect the pleasure in variations rather than growth. The Ropers and Three's a Crowd work as extras after the main run with only Jack behind them.
