About Walker
Walker Texas Ranger ran on CBS from April 1993 with Chuck Norris as Cordell Walker for eight seasons and 203 episodes to May 2001, plus the 2005 Trial by Fire film. Cases pair Walker with Trivette, Alex and CD across Dallas with roundhouse payoffs.
The CW reboot Walker premiered in January 2021 with Jared Padalecki as Cordell for four seasons and 69 episodes to June 2024. It keeps the name and ranch but resets family, partners and Austin crimes. The CW cancelled the reboot after season four, so both runs stand closed for now.
Good to know
There is no shared story order since the reboot recasts everyone and resets Austin fully. Watch the original eight seasons for 1990s cases, or the reboot four for modern family arcs with Liam and Micki. Trial by Fire fits after the original finale only as an epilogue. Pick one complete run before sampling the other take.
