About WandaVision
WandaVision opened Phase Four as the first Marvel Disney Plus series. Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany play Wanda and Vision in a Westview sitcom that shifts eras weekly, from fifties black and white through sixties, seventies and eighties to modern. Matt Shakman directed, Jac Schaeffer created. Kathryn Hahn plays Agnes, later revealed as Agatha Harkness.
Two episodes premiered January 15, 2021, then weekly to March 5. Mid run episode 4 We Interrupt This Program shows the SWORD outside view, episode 5 brings the twins and a recast Pietro. The finale resolves White Vision, Agatha and the Hex. The Blu-ray arrived November 2023 with deleted scenes.
Good to know
Watch episodes 1 through 9 in order. Era jumps are the story, so the fifties start matters for the color arrival in episode 3. Episode 4 reframes the first three from outside, which only works after them. Commercials hide Stark, Strucker and Hydra nods. The run leads into Agatha All Along and VisionQuest, so keep it first in the trilogy.
