About Angel Beats
Angel Beats follows Otonashi in an afterlife school battle front with Kanade. P.A. Works produced 13 episodes from April to June 2010 from Jun Maeda. Stairway to Heaven in December 2010 runs 24 minutes bundled on volume 7 with a bonus short.
Hell Kitchen in June 2015 runs 29 minutes bundled on the Blu-ray box. Hell Kitchen fits between episodes 2 and 3 while Stairway fits between 4 and 5. The visual novel first volume in 2015 stopped with later volumes cancelled. Watch the 13 episodes first, then both specials as extras.
Good to know
Both specials are interquels rather than sequels, but release order still works best because they assume you know the battle front cast. Chronological inserts help only on rewatch. The TV finale ends the afterlife arc closed. No new anime has been announced since Hell Kitchen in 2015, so those specials are the end.
