About Baki
Baki adapts Keisuke Itagaki manga about Baki Hanma trying to surpass his father Yujiro, the strongest creature on Earth. The 2001 TV series covers the childhood and tournament arcs in 48 episodes across two seasons. Netflix picked it up in 2018 with the Death Row saga, then the Great Raitai Tournament in 2020 and Son of Ogre in 2021.
Season 2 in 2023 adapts the Pickle war and the father versus son climax in 27 episodes. The 2024 crossover with Kengan Ashura is standalone fun. Baki-dou started February 2026 with the Musashi arc in two parts. No anime has been dated past June 2026.
Good to know
There is no separate chronological order for Baki. Every entry continues the last, from the underground arena to prison fighters to Chinese tournaments to Pickle and Yujiro. The 1994 OVA and the 2016 special are optional teasers. The 2024 crossover with Kengan Ashura sits outside canon, so watch it last even though it came out before Baki-dou.
