About Blood-C
Blood-C (2011) runs twelve episodes July to September 2011 with Saya Kisaragi as shrine maiden by day and Elder Bairn slayer by night. The village setup hides a broken covenant reveal that reframes every early monster fight.
Blood-C: The Last Dark (2012) is a 110 minute theatrical sequel set six months later, with Saya hunting Fumito in Tokyo alongside young hackers. Naoyoshi Shiotani directs with a colder urban tone after the TV gore finale. Watch TV first, then the film, since the movie assumes full knowledge of the village twist and Saya revenge motive.
Good to know
There is no separate chronological order worth listing, since the TV run leads straight into the film six months later. Start with the 2011 series to learn Saya, Fumito and the covenant lie. The film works only as a direct sequel, not a standalone entry. Live action Blood-C films from 2017 onward sit in their own continuity, so keep them out of this anime path.
