About Blood+
Blood+ runs fifty episodes from 2005 to 2006 from Production I.G, following Saya Otonashi fighting Chiroptera with her katana. Directed and written by Junichi Fujisaku, it stands as an alternate universe inspired by the 2000 film rather than a continuation of it.
Watch the fifty episodes straight through since the season builds linearly. Blood-C keeps only the first name and premise in its own continuity, so it sits outside this list with the original film noted as background rather than homework.
Good to know
One linear series means release order is story order with nothing to rearrange. The 2000 Last Vampire film originated the concept with a different Saya, and Blood-C rebooted again separately years later on TV. With the fifty episode run complete and no sequel announced, this single entry is the guide.
