About Captain Future
Captain Future aired 52 episodes on NHK from 1978 to 1979, produced by Toei from Edmond Hamilton pulp novels. Curtis Newton, raised on the Moon by Grag, Otho and the brain Simon Wright, answers Earth calls against planet scale threats. Early episodes cover the Soker raid, the Comet Empire arrival and traitor hunts across Mars and Venus.
The middle run follows the war against the Empire hidden masters, with prison breaks and plague ships. The closing stretch ends the Empire arc and returns to Earth defense with the full team in place. No sequel was produced, so the 52 episodes form the complete run.
