About Cardcaptor Sakura
Cardcaptor Sakura adapts CLAMP's manga about Sakura Kinomoto capturing the scattered Clow Cards with Kero. The original aired 70 episodes from 1998 to 2000 across the Clow and Sakura Card arcs. The Sealed Card film (2000) closes the Syaoran romance, and Clear Card aired 22 episodes in 2018 around the mysterious new cards.
The Clear Card manga continues past the anime with the story still active, so further anime stays possible with no date announced as of 2026. The 1999 film sits mid-series as a Hong Kong side trip, fitting between the two arcs rather than at either end.
Good to know
Watch the original 70 episodes first, fitting the 1999 film between the arcs where its trip sits, then the Sealed Card film, then Clear Card. The movies assume the card roster from their matching seasons, so shuffling them spoils captures. To continue past the anime, pick up the Clear Card manga where the 2018 season pauses.
