About Chihayafuru
Chihayafuru follows Chihaya Ayase chasing karuta Queen with Arata and Taichi from childhood to high school. Season 1 from 2011 runs 25 episodes through club founding, season 2 from 2013 runs 25 episodes through Fujioka and national defenses, and season 3 from 2019 runs 24 episodes into Queen and Master qualifiers.
Watch seasons in release order since poems, teams and injuries stack directly. The manga ended in 2022 past the anime stop, so readers can finish after season 3. No fourth season has been dated, which leaves the three Madhouse runs as the set with the title matches near closed.
Good to know
Release order is story order with no films counted in the TV path. Season 1 sets hundred poems and club rules, so give it ten episodes before tournament pace locks. Seasons 2 and 3 assume prior wins and surgeries, which makes skipping costly. Treat season 3 as the anime close with the manga final volumes as the continuation.
