About Cyber City Oedo
Cyber City Oedo 808 ran three 45-minute OVAs from 1990 to 1991 from Madhouse about cyber-criminals hunting worse criminals to shorten sentences. Sengoku's past opens the run, Gogul's hacking follows, and Benten's android frame closes it under the warden's collars. Yoshiaki Kawajiri directed with the 2808 Oedo prison as the hub.
No sequel was made beyond the three episodes, leaving the sentence system open rather than resolved. The show shares Kawajiri's style with Ninja Scroll and Wicked City but no plot, standing apart as its own cyberpunk stint.
