About Dantalian
Dantalian no Shoka aired July to October 2011 from Gainax about Huey guarding Bibliotheca Dalian against phantom books. Early episodes set mansion reads and Hal deaths across England.
Later episodes shift to boarding schools and labs with a 2012 OVA adding two extra tales. The story runs one straight line with no films, so broadcast order keeps books clear. The pace stays steady across entries, with each part adding new faces without losing the core tone. New jobs appear often, with each fix teaching care without losing humor and keeping friends clear.
Good to know
There is no separate chronological order worth listing since all 12 episodes plus OVA run in sequence with no side arcs to reorder. Watch episodes 1 to 4 for setup, 5 to 10 for book hunts, then 11 to 12 plus OVA for the close. The novels add detail only, so the anime alone covers the tale. Plan extra time for finales, since later parts assume full knowledge of earlier twists.
