About Denpa Onna
Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko from Shaft aired 12 episodes April to July 2011 on TBS about Makoto living with aunt Meme and cousin Erio claiming alien origin. It adapts Hitoma Iruma light novels with Shinbo style. The OVA Mayonaka no Taiyou arrived with volume 7 in 2012 as episode 13 festival story.
TV covers novels 1 to 4 with Erio recovery arc, OVA adds summer meteor payoff. No second season has been produced since 2012, so TV plus OVA is complete. The manga and novels hold extra Meme and Yashiro beats after for readers.
Good to know
Watch the 12 TV episodes first for Erio futon to festival growth, then OVA for meteor close. Each episode runs 24 minutes with Shaft head tilts and text cards. The OVA assumes TV bonds and spoils Erio choice. Expect slice comedy with alien teasing rather than mecha action. Crunchyroll streams TV with OVA on Blu ray volumes.
