The Devil Is a Part-Timer strands demon lord Maou in Tokyo flipping burgers at MgRonalds while hero Emi tracks him down. Season 1 ran thirteen episodes in 2013 at White Fox through power drains and Ente Isla gate crises.
Season 2 split into two twelve-episode parts in 2022 and 2023 at Studio 3Hz, with a recap special ahead of part 2. Retailers sometimes label part 2 as season 3, but it is officially the back half of season 2. The light novels ended in 2020 with twenty-one volumes and no further anime announced.
Good to know
Release order is story order across all thirty-seven episodes. The recap special from July 2023 can be skipped on a straight run. Note the naming trap: the 2023 run is season 2 part 2, not a third season, despite some store listings. No anime sequel is announced after 2023. Start with the 2013 season, since the fast-food status quo carries through.
