About Dororo
Dororo follows Hyakkimaru, a ronin hunting the demons that took his body parts, and Dororo, the young thief traveling with him, across Sengoku era Japan. Osamu Tezuka's manga was adapted twice, as a 26 episode series in 1969 and a 24 episode remake in 2019, and each version tells the story on its own.
Good to know
Both series are standalone retellings, so you can start with either and lose nothing. Most new viewers start with the 2019 version for its modern pacing, then revisit the 1969 original.
