About Golden Kamuy
Golden Kamuy follows Saichi Sugimoto, the Immortal of the Russo-Japanese War, and the Ainu girl Asirpa as they hunt a hidden gold stash across Hokkaido, racing rival factions. Four seasons aired from 2018 to 2023, moving production from Geno Studio to Brain's Base along the way.
The finale runs as the Final Arc: two Sapporo Beer Factory prologue films in October 2025, then the TV arc from January 2026, with the climactic Runaway Train stretch dated for winter. Watch the four seasons, then the prologue films, then the final arc in order. The manga finished in 2022, so this adaptation ends the story properly.
Good to know
Season 4's broadcast paused after episode 6 in 2022 following a staff death and restarted from episode 1 in spring 2023, which is why listings show odd dates: the content is one season. The prologue films are required viewing, not recaps, since they adapt manga chapters the TV run skipped. The winter climax had been announced but carried no exact premiere date at the last check, so confirm before planning a finale night.
