About Gag Manga Biyori
Gag Manga Biyori adapts Koso Masuda manga into five minute sketches about history figures, school life and absurd saints. The first season aired 12 shorts in early 2005 on Kids Station, produced by Studio Deen with fast parody pacing. The second season followed in 2006, the third in 2008 and the fourth in 2010, all keeping the same short format and returning jokes.
All four seasons are standalone sketches with no continuing plot, but broadcast order preserves running gags and cast additions. Watch seasons one through four in sequence for the full 50 short run. There are no films or OVAs beyond the TV shorts, so the four broadcast seasons are the complete anime version.
