About The Garden of Sinners
The Garden of Sinners tells Shiki and Mikiya's story out of order across seven Ufotable films from 2007 to 2009. Release order runs Overlooking View, Murder Part 1, Remaining Sense of Pain, Hollow Shrine, Paradox Spiral, Oblivion Recording and Murder Part 2, with the Gate of Seventh Heaven remix recapping before the finale. Epilogue from 2011 closes the main run, then Future Gospel plus Extra Chorus from 2013 continue years later.
Chronological order reshuffles to Murder Part 1, Hollow Shrine, Remaining Sense of Pain, Overlooking View and onward, which flattens the intended reveals. Release order is strongly recommended first: the films were cut to land that way, with Paradox Spiral as the payoff. The remix helps only if the timeline feels tangled on a first pass.
Good to know
Watch films 1 to 7 in release order, then Epilogue and Future Gospel. The numbering already is the viewing order; resist re-sorting until a rewatch. The Gate of Seventh Heaven remix is optional recap before film 7, and Extra Chorus is side stories for after everything. Future Gospel splits into Ring and Link across the timeline, which is why it must close rather than slot inside.
