About Ginga
Ginga Nagareboshi Gin aired from April 1986 with bear dog Gin uniting packs against Akakabuto across 21 episodes. Toei animates Yoshihiro Takahashi with brutal pack battles and mountain deaths plus battouga cuts. The finale crowns Gin with Ou army lore and scars.
Ginga Densetsu Weed aired from November 2005 with Gin's son Weed facing Hougen across 26 episodes on TV with new pups. Studio Deen keeps the same battouga cuts and pack ranks with fiercer bites. No third TV run was made, so the two form the set with manga Orion ahead.
Good to know
Watch Gin then Weed in order since pack names and scars carry over directly each war year. Weed spoils Gin's mate fate in its opener, so do not start there at all. Battles run bloody with dog deaths throughout and no soft cut for kids. Treat the two as a closed father son arc with manga Orion beyond TV.
