About Knights of Sidonia
Knights of Sidonia follows clone Nagate piloting Gardes against the Gauna across twelve episodes in 2014 at Polygon. The 2015 compilation film recaps that run with new scenes as an optional theatrical extra.
Battle for Planet Nine from 2015 runs twelve more into the Lem star campaign, and Love Woven in the Stars from 2021 jumps ten years forward as the sequel finale. The story runs linear Polygon space opera, so watch season 1, then season 2, then the 2021 film. No anime beyond the film is announced.
Good to know
Release order is story order from the underworld Gauna war through the Lem campaign to the ten-year jump. The 2015 compilation can be skipped on a straight run. The 2021 film is the current endpoint theatrically. Start with season 1, since the Gardes systems and Ochiai thread pay off across all three entries.
