About Master Keaton
Master Keaton follows Taichi Hiraga Keaton, a half Japanese and half English former SAS soldier working as an insurance investigator while lecturing in archaeology, taking cases across England, Germany, and Eastern Europe. Based on the manga by Naoki Urasawa serialized from 1988 in Big Comic Original, the 39 episode TV series from Madhouse aired from October 1998 to March 1999 on Nippon TV with self contained job cases.
The OVA run followed from 2003 to 2004 with harder dig site cases, army past recalls, and family beats with daughter Yuriko. The TV run sets tools, contacts, and Keaton habit of splitting fees toward digs, while the OVA assumes that base and raises stakes.
