About Mazinger
Mazinger starts with Mazinger Z in 1972 as Koji fights Dr. Hell with photon power across 92 episodes. Great Mazinger from 1974 follows Tetsuya against the Mycenae with the same lab crew. Grendizer from 1975 moves to Duke Fleed against Vega with Koji as support.
Mazinkaiser from 2001 retells the Z line harder, while Shin Mazinger from 2009 reboots Z with new lore. Infinity from 2017 continues the Z film line years later. Each line resets details, so finishing one Mazinger before the next keeps pilot bonds straight.
Good to know
Start with Mazinger Z to learn photon rules, then Great and Grendizer in order. Mazinkaiser and Shin work as separate reboots after the classics rather than season 2. Infinity fits after Z as a film extra. No new Mazinger TV run had been dated as of September 2026, so Infinity stands as the latest step.
