About Metal Armor Dragonar
In 2087 the Giganos Empire storms a Lunar colony and three trainee pilots escape with the prototype Metal Armors Dragonar-1, Dragonar-2 and Dragonar-3. Kaine Wakaba, Tapp Oceano and Light Newman flee to Earth, join the Earth Alliance army and learn combat on the run while ace Meio Plato hunts them. The early run covers the hijack and the first desert battles.
The middle stretch follows the long Earth campaign plus defection plots inside Giganos. The closing run ends the war with the final assault on Giganos command. Sunrise aired 48 episodes from 1987 to 1988 in the slot after Gundam ZZ, directed first by Takeyuki Kanda. Watch episodes 1 through 48 in broadcast order.
Good to know
Watch all 48 episodes in broadcast order in four blocks, since the war plot builds unit by unit and defections only land if seen in sequence. The three Dragonar machines change loadouts across the run, so track which pilot flies what. No sequel or remake continues the story, and the ending resolves the Giganos war cleanly. Skip compilation clips and go straight through.
