About Mononoke
A nameless Medicine Seller tracks each mononoke by learning its shape, truth and reason, then draws his sword. He debuted in episodes 9 to 11 of the 2006 anthology Ayakashi: Samurai Horror Tales, in the Bakeneko arc, and headlined his own 12-episode series in 2007 across five arcs.
Release order is story order here. The film trilogy moves the setting to the Edo Castle ooku: Karakasa in July 2024, Hinezumi in March 2025, and Hebigami, the finale, on May 29, 2026. Hiroshi Kamiya voices the Medicine Seller in all three films after replacing Takahiro Sakurai during production.

English titles vary by listing: Phantom in the Rain (Karakasa), The Ashes of Rage (Hinezumi) and The Curse of the Serpent (Hebigami). Netflix set the third film for global streaming on September 29, 2026, after this post's verification date. Japanese coverage in August 2026 also teased a further Mononoke project, but details were vague as of September 2026, so it is not listed below.
