About My Home Hero
My Home Hero follows Tetsuo Tosu hiding the killing of his daughter Reika boyfriend Nobuto from gangsters. The anime has 12 episodes from Tezuka Productions, directed by Takashi Kamei. The live action drama has 10 episodes on MBS and TBS with Kuranosuke Sasaki as Tetsuo.
The live action film opened March 8, 2024 from Warner Bros Japan at 118 minutes, set seven years after the drama with Reika as police. The manga ran May 29, 2017 to July 29, 2024 across 26 volumes and is finished. No anime second season is planned.
Good to know
Release order is anime, drama, film. The anime and the drama retell the same opening arc in different forms, so expect overlap if you watch both. The film only follows the drama, set seven years later, so watch the drama before the film. For the shortest path, watch the drama then the film and treat the anime as an alternate version.
