Nippon Animation from Zuiyo makes World Masterpiece Theater since 1975 with Miyazaki and Takahata roots. Heidi ran 52 episodes 1974 as Zuiyo origin with Flanders 52 episodes 1975 first under Nippon name and Marco 52 episodes 1976. Anne ran 50 episodes 1979 as first billed Masterpiece Theater with Tom Sawyer 49 episodes 1980.
Sarah ran 46 episodes 1985 with Grimm 24 episodes 1987 plus New Grimm 23 episodes and Pan 41 episodes 1989. Rascal 1977 and Perrine 1978 sit between Marco and Anne if expanding. Maruko runs 142 episodes 1990 to 1992 with second run over 1400 episodes since 1995 ongoing. Calcal-dan 2 minute shorts run 24 episodes from April 2025 ongoing. No new dated WMT revival has been announced.

Watch Heidi to Pan in year order above with each year a different novel and 50 plus episodes. Start Heidi to Flanders to Marco for 1970s core, continue Anne to Tom Sawyer for 1979 to 1980 peak, then finish Sarah to Grimm to Pan 1980s run. Maruko and Calcal-dan run separately as ongoing comedy outside WMT. Each novel stands alone with no shared plot. Keep TX year order.
