About Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan
Rikuo Nura is a quarter yokai who wants a normal human life, but blood ties him to the Nura clan his grandfather built. By day he is an ordinary student, by night he transforms into a powerful leader who must earn the loyalty of yokai who doubt him. Studio Deen adapted Hiroshi Shiibashi's Weekly Shonen Jump manga into two straight seasons.
Season 1 aired from July to December 2010 and covers the Shikoku and Tono arcs across 24 episodes. Demon Capital followed from July to December 2011 with 24 more episodes adapting the Kyoto arc. Two short OVAs bundled with manga volumes came later and work as optional extras.
Good to know
There is no separate chronological order for Nura worth listing. Both seasons tell one straight story, so release order and story order are the same list. Some sites count 26 episodes for Season 1 by adding two recap specials, but the story count is 24. The later OVAs retell side material and can be skipped without losing the plot.
