About Ping Pong the Animation
Ping Pong the Animation follows childhood friends Peco and Smile, two talented but very different players on the Katase High School table tennis team, through one national tournament run. Tatsunoko Production animated all 11 episodes under director Masaaki Yuasa, adapting Taiyo Matsumoto's manga from start to finish in a single spring 2014 broadcast.
Good to know
The 2002 live-action Ping Pong film is a separate adaptation of the same manga and is not part of the anime list. The anime tells a complete story, and no sequel has been announced.
