About Planetarian
Planetarian starts with the five episode ONA from July 2016, where a Junker meets the robot Yumemi in a ruined planetarium and repairs the projector. The run covers the bouquet, the repair, the projection and her wish across about ninety minutes.
Planetarian: Storyteller of the Stars followed in September 2016, continuing the Junker years later around a long retelling. Snow Globe arrived in 2021 as a prequel about Yumemi before the fall. Watch the ONA first, then the film, then Snow Globe last for the cleanest effect.
Good to know
Watch the five part ONA first, then the 2016 film, then Snow Globe. The film retells much of the ONA inside a longer frame, so it lands better once the short version is known. Snow Globe is a prequel and plays best as an extra after the main story. No new anime had been announced as of October 2026.
