About Planetes
Planetes adapts Makoto Yukimura's manga about ISPV 7 debris crew with Hachimaki, Ai, Fee, and Yuri. The 26 episodes aired October 4, 2003 to April 17, 2004 on NHK with Sunrise animating and Gorou Taniguchi directing.
No sequel was made with the manga closed. Treat the 26 as a finished run. Watch episodes 1 through 26 in order. The von Braun and Tandem Mirror threads only resolve if you track each shift week to week through the section. The airlock sighs punctuate every spacewalk with weightless tension and tethers.
Good to know
There is no separate chronological order worth listing. The voyages already play in intended broadcast order, so release order and story order are the same list. Watch episodes 1 through 26 straight. The manga is source with a different ending beat. No null-year entry is pending. Watch episodes 1 through 26 straight in broadcast order now.
