About Queen Millennia
Queen Millennia is Leiji Matsumoto 1981 series about Yayoi Yukino, undercover Millennia queen on Earth, guiding Hajime as her home world approaches for the encounter. The TV run aired 42 episodes in 1981 to 1982 on Fuji TV, then a 1982 film retold the approach with a new ending and updated animation.
TV and film share setup but diverge at the close, so they play as versions rather than chapters. Watch the 1981 series first for the full Earth infiltration, then the 1982 film as alternate finale rather than next chapter in sequence.
Good to know
There is no separate chronological order worth listing beyond versions. The 1981 series and 1982 film each follow Yayoi forward to the encounter in the same Matsumoto arc, so release order and story order are the same list. Galaxy Express and Harlock links assume Millennia setup, best seen after this pair.
